So, I've been working on this epic fanfic lately...
And I swear if I can't figure out a way that Character A (waiter in a cafe) will actually befriend Character B (main character of fic) when they've just met and Character B is on vacation- therefore not going to stay for very long- so that I can get to the actual Main Plot of the fic, then I am going to go crazy. Ughughughughugh.
There's no real reason for Character A to even speak to B past taking his order, even though he'll probably end up eating at that cafe every day he's there.(right near his hotel, and has very good food in his opinion), and I really need them to spend time together somehow because it's essential to the plot. Blah.

Hitting on just the right topic of conversation will make Character B divulge more about his life. Especially if the service person (Character A) has had a similar experience.
This might lead to a spark of familiarity. They realize they have been in the same place, maybe at the same time. Fate.
Maybe? D: lol
